Illegear Raven SE: follow up on thermals

These are the thermal results obtained from users themselves. Some are tested with stock power limits (no more power limit issue) while some are tested with manual power limits (override). Thanks for all users who contributed to this small survey!

  1. Hi, i just found your blogspot and it's good to read reviews regarding local product which helps me in choosing my laptop. But somehow, I've been all over the Internet in search of review for MSI GF65 9SD, a MSI laptop that just got out recently, up until now there's only 1 review which us from notebookcheck(9750h + 1660ti) while the local product is 9300h + 1660ti. Have u any idea on this product?

  2. GF65 is mediocre. There are better options at similar price. Not recommended.

    1. I see.. Is it because of the display, battery life and connectivity which made it mediocre? Because my main target is getting a good thermal for prolonged use and higg power limit so that my system in using a databade n multitasking will not hiccup. I'm into gaming too, and at that price point, I rarely see cpu/gpu with <75 degree C. For me, the i5 and 1660ti would be a better deal for thermal control. What do you think?

    2. Build quality and cooling aren't that good

Thermal performance doesn't depend on temperature only

If the model has good cooling, you don't need to get i5 just to reduce heat. Just get a model with good cooling will do. no need to worry about powerful components causing overheating.

    3. Ohhh, thank you for the insight. Then can u suggest me an alternative to the MSI near to that price point?

    4. Like I mentioned, MSI models are overpriced. Consider other options. It's just not worth it. Unless you're MSI fan.

    5. Thank you sir, ill look into another alternative

[GUIDE] How to undervolt laptop (Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU, 2021 revised version)

This is my own guide on how to undervolt Intel CPU / Nvidia GPU in your laptops. Hope you found it useful! Notes: This is my own method on how to do it. There are a lot of ways to undervolt CPU+GPU, but this is how I usually undervolt with all the laptops I had reviewed and with my own laptop I will try my best to make the explanation clear and will be using the undervolt profiles in my laptop as example As mentioned in the title, this guide is for those with Intel CPU (4th gen or later) or Nvidia GPU (10 series or later) or both only. Some laptops have BIOS version with Plundervolt patch that locks CPU voltage control, so take note You might brick your 10th/11th gen Intel laptop if you undervolted too much even with software like Throttlestop, I will not be responsible if something catastrophic happens To TGL-45 laptop owners: Only i7 and i9 has unlocked CPU voltage control, even so the laptop model itself might not allow you to undervolt the CPU. Check your laptop model first
